Explorer Cadet Program

Pageland Police Department Explorer Cadet Program
Shaping Future Leaders in Law Enforcement

Purpose of the Explorer Program

The Pageland Police Department Explorer Cadet Program is designed to serve the Town of Pageland, its Police Department, and the community by developing future leaders through hands-on law enforcement experience. This apprenticeship-style program introduces young men and women to the duties, responsibilities, and practices of a professional police officer, offering valuable insight into the world of law enforcement.

The program is open to individuals ages 14 to 21 and provides structured, on-the-job training that helps prepare participants for a potential career in law enforcement. Explorers gain real-world experience while serving their community and supporting departmental initiatives. While the program does not guarantee a job, it serves as a strong foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in public safety.
